Christians Are Dying For Their Faith in Christ! by
In America we tend to see the world through our own experiences. We don't have the issues that other countries have because of our freedom of speech and or freedom of religion. We can worship who we want to and where we want to, but many countries do not have these freedoms. Today Christians are dying because they believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Much of the persecution comes from Islamic hard-liners that believe worshiping Jesus, as the Son of God, is blasphemy.
As an American I have to ask myself, 'if I was to be persecuted for my faith would I be willing to suffer even unto death'? I fear that the answer would be no. Read some of the reports found at: http://www.persecution.org. The stories will be a testimony against the soft Christianity that we preach today.
Persecution will be a part of our lives if we truly believe without wavering, that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. It is just a matter of time before we see this in America. Muslim extremists are crossing the boarders of Mexico and America by the hundreds. Their purpose is to gain influential positions in areas of power so they can change our way of life to conform to theirs. We see this happening in Germany and other parts of Europe. Now they are having problems and we will have the same ones if we don't learn to speak with the authority of Jesus. I have discussed the five characteristics of Christ in my article 'The Last Hours of Christ's Life Teaches Us Much about Ourselves". We need to study the last hours of Jesus' life to understand how we need to prepare for the coming time of trouble.
America has been filled with 'feel good preaching and prosperity sermons' have weaken us to the point of submission instead of triumph. "Give diligence to present thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, handling aright the word of truth." 2 Tim 2:15 (ASV). Remember many are dying for their faith, can you?
